The days have long gone when it was useful to have a basic knowledge of how to change your plugs, dismantle your carburetor and clean your points or disconnect your fuel line and clear a blockage. Today, as we have seen, a slight variation in the chemical makeup of your fuel can result in a major breakdown and hundreds of pounds of damage. Something to be said for simplicity.
